CLÃ

2022

Clã is a Portuguese pop band formed in Porto in 1992, bringing together musicians Fernando Gonçalves, Hélder Gonçalves, Manuela Azevedo, Miguel Ferreira, Pedro Biscaia and Pedro Rito. Over the years, they have become one of the most respected bands in Portugal, admired for their creative arrangements and the strong stage presence of vocalist Manuela Azevedo.

Their debut album “LusoQualquerCoisa”, released in 1996, introduced their unique blend of pop, rock and jazz influences to a wider audience.

Later albums such as “Kazoo” and “Lustro” consolidated their reputation, earning them several national awards, including prizes for Best Band, Best Female Vocal and Best Album.

Clã are also known for their collaborations with other artists and for special projects that cross music with cinema and other arts, such as composing and performing an original live soundtrack for Murnau’s silent film “Nosferatu”. Thanks to their thoughtful lyrics, inventive sound and energetic concerts, they have built a loyal fan base in Portugal and abroad and remain a key reference in contemporary Portuguese music.
